works and lasts. The weight is ultra-light, you don't even feel the leash when walking and the workmanship is top.
läuft!
The Alpine leash set is unlike any other leash I've ever tried. First, the Halo leash ring is amazing and should be the gold standard. It slides over the webbing and intermittent connections very smoothly, and is big enough to pass over weblocks, soft releases, etc. The sewn connection is robust, yet minimalistic.
The thin rope is quite supple, and allows for a tie-in with a double bowline that's still less bulky then a figure of 8 on a regular leash. All in all, it's very lightweight and it does not feel like you're dragging a leash with you.
The thin rope is no problem for me to climb and is of similar thickness as a modern climbing rope. Perhaps freestylers might consider a thicker threaded leash, but for me this leash has it all and increases my walking experience.
In short: if you're into high-quality and/or lightweight gear and do not take 100 leashfalls an hour, look no further!
