We've only experimented with the Zaed for one session so far, but it seems really effective, and we're very pleased with it. Great design!
Bon produit qui fait ce qu'on attends de lui. Je l'utilise essentiellement en moulinette pour l'instant car la différence de poids avec mon fils est au-delà des recommandations (32kg/75kg) mais ça fonctionne. Je n'ai jamais utilisé de système concurrent mais en tout cas je n'ai pas ressenti de difficulté pour tirer du mou en grimpe en tête comme j'ai pu le lire pour d'autres systèmes et le freinage est vraiment souple et ne sèche pas le grimpeur.
If the climber is significantly heavier than the belayer, this device is a must. It saves the climber's ankles from hard impact and preserves belayer's neck from being broken by buttheading with a heavier climber. While creating necessary resistens, this device gives much softer catches than OM. So far I am happy with it.
Did my first test with my partner who is 90 lbs lighter than me. Device worked great. Normally in our gym she has to tie into 3 sandbags to keep from slamming into the wall when I fall. She still gets pulled, but in a very controlled manner. After the fall I can just keep climbing without worrying about the device.
Got this as I am on the lighter side, and my regular climbing partner is much heavier. While not particularly cheap, it does exactly what it says on the tin!
