The 2025 US tariff regulations of the Trump administration brought some changes for American customers of our online shop. Since the De-Minimis regulation was cancelled by the US even small orders need to be registered with customs and recipients need to pay tariff and customs fees. We ship DAP which means that the tariff and customs fees are collected from you during the delivery process. You‘ll likely receive an invoice from your local customs office or FedEx / DHL collects it directly from you when handing over the parcel to you. So in the end this tariff is paid by you, the US customer.
On the other hand every customer outside the EU doesn't have to pay our German VAT, so you basically save 19% on our MSRP.
In this post we list the amount of tariff + fee that customers reported to us having paid dozens of times.
ZAED pro: 26 USD
ZAED mini: 24 USD
BLNC pulley system: 78 USD
In the end it appears to us that the tariff cost evens out the savings on VAT. So you usually pay about the same amount that a German customer pays in our online shop. If you'd like to save a bit on shipping fees, please have a look at our local dealers near you - we have multiple retail partners in North America, so we don't have to ship every device in a single box across the ocean.
It must also be noted that in several cases the tariff appeared to be calculated arbitrarily higher and customers has to pay more. We have reports of US customers paying 55 USD tariff for a ZAED pro for example. The reason for these different tariff fees is unclear to us since all of the calculation happens on the US side of the shipping process. We have no influence over the calculation or collection of that tariff fees.
If you are a US customer who ordered with us: Please let us know how much tariff you paid - so we can inform other customers what awaits them.
